Calorie needs
Basal rate, daily expenditure and your target intake
Formula and method
Mifflin–St Jeor basal rate: 10 × weight + 6.25 × height − 5 × age + 5 (men) or −161 (women), multiplied by an activity factor from 1.2 to 1.9. The goal sets a deficit or surplus as a percentage of expenditure, so the stress scales with body size.
